ANOTHEN Community Care has a growing national team, who have been specially equipped to provide you with quality finding and keeping a job supports. We listen to your preferences, and we journey with you to discover a career outcome suited to your needs and desires.

Our finding and keeping a job support focus on strengths and build on individual strengths while developing capacity and skills. 

Our employment assistance team include: 

  • Team Leaders - Your team leader has experience in working together with you your support network and industry to coordinator your employment supports.

  • Mentors - Your mentor has received training in working in the employment support environment to help you identify, monitor and reach your goals. 

  • Employment assistance coordinators - Our team members are professional members of the Australian HR Insitute and hold workplace training and assessment qualifications 

 

This may include supports to:  

  • supplement work experience available through the school system 

  • obtain part time work whilst finishing secondary education

  • transition from school into further education or training 

  • explore what work means(discovery) 

  • build essential foundation skills for work 

  • manage complex barriers to obtaining and sustaining employment 

  • implement specialised job customisation/job carving 

  • obtain alternative employment following onset or exacerbation of disability  

  • assist a person to change jobs 

  • develop a career plan 

  • obtain employment on completion of a qualification  

  • transition from a supported employment service (previously known as an Australian 
    Disability Enterprise (ADE)) to open employment 

  • successfully engage with a Disability Employment Service (DES) provider or other 
    employment service to secure employment and arrange ongoing support on the job if necessary.
