
Self-Care Supports
Self-care supports are designed to assist you with daily personal task that you may find difficult.
Your support team will work with you to develop a personalised plan to ensure you receive supports which work best for you, and in a way which enhances your independence, confidence and quality of life.
Assistance with self-care activities can be funded under your NDIS plan, be self-funded or come under another form of funding for example insurance from an accident. These supports can be delivered in your own home, in a supported living setting or in a home where you share with others.
Supports are aimed at building your confidence in routine chores/tasks.

Supports may include any or a combination of the below:

Personal hygiene - supporting you with showering, bathing, oral hygiene and grooming

Dressing and appearance - Supporting you with dressing, choosing clothing, applying make-up, and working with you to maintain your desired look.

Toileting and continence - Supporting you to maintain your dignity, health and comfort with staff who understand it can be a sensitive support to provide an individual.

Mobility support - Our team will support you for safe mobility in the home and community. Our team are trained in host mobility assistance.

Mealtime assistance - You can be supported to do your shopping, prepare your meals and clean up after you have meals. These supports can also provide you with support during your meals.

Medication management - We have staff who have been trained in supporting you with your medication needs, our RNs oversee all medication management supports.
